Update: It is now being reported that Ryan Matthews has agreed to a five year contract with the Chargers.
On a weekend that has seen many of the first round picks agreeing to deals, there are more on the way.
This time, it involves first round pick Ryan Matthews, who was taken by the San Diego Chargers.
According to Adam Schefter via twitter, a deal is expected to be agreed upon sometime today " Chargers about to get a bolt: San Diego and first-round pick Ryan Mathews are close to an agreement that is likely to be wrapped up today".
This is great news for the Chargers, and their fans, who have dealt with a rough off season.
With the likes of Vincent Jackson and Shawn Merriman holding out, rumors began to surface that Matthew's was prepared to follow suit.
However, there is no need to worry. He will be on the field soon enough once camp gets under way for the Chargers.
