Richard Gordon Re-Signs with Broncos: Latest Contract Details and Reaction

February 22, 2016   ·     ·   Jump to comments

The Denver Broncos re-signed tight end Richard Gordon on Monday, per Andrew Mason of the team's official website.
The 6'3", 262-pound Gordon has four receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown in his five-year career with the Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens and Oakland Raiders. He has played in 35 games and started five of them.
He is not known for his pass-catching ability, per Dan Hatman of the Scouting Academy:
Gordon was on the 53-man roster for five games last season in Denver but dressed in just one, according to Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post. He was cut by the Broncos and signed by the Ravens on Dec. 8, only to be cut 15 days later, per Wolfe.
Gordon most likely will continue to remain a blocker, as he is one of four tight ends currently on Denver's roster along with Owen Daniels, Virgil Green and Jeff Heuerman.
