Rob Sims Drawing Interest from Detroit Lions in Possible Trade

Seattle guard Rob Sims is in limbo.
A restricted free agent with a fourth-round tender placed on him, Sims was asked to stay away from the Seattle practice facility. The Seahawks personnel staff wants to move Sims and doesn't want to risk the chance of any freak injury during a workout.
Jason La Canfora reports that the Detroit Lions are looking at Sims rather closely as of late and are exploring trade options for the 26-year-old out of Ohio State.
Sims has appeared in 30 games during his Seahawks career and has started 19 of them. Last season, he started all 16 games at left guard and allowed one sack, one QB hit, and 10 pressures.
That performance earned him eighth place in the Pro Football Focus ranking of offensive guards.
Generally considered a better run blocker than a pass blocker, Sims is a great fit for Schwartz' power running machinations. Not overly big at 6'3", 313lbs, Sims is a beast with a reported 515lb bench press.
