Robert Meachem Returns to New Orleans Saints with 1-Year-Deal

Days after ending a nightmarish stint with the San Diego Chargers, Robert Meachem is headed back to the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints announced the signing:
ESPN's Bill Williamson, via Adam Schefter, had the news first:
Meachem will be hoping a return to the team that drafted him in the first round in 2007 will serve as a shot in the arm for his suddenly declining career. 
After signing a four-year, $25.9 million contract with the Bolts in March 2012, Meachem had a disastrous season, pulling in just 14 catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns. To make matters worse, he had slipped below nearly every receiver on San Diego's depth chart this summer. 
New general manager Tom Telesco finally decided enough was enough and took a significant cap hit in order to send Meachem on his way.
