In the News:  Roger Goodell says the owners want to go to an 18 game season, possibly as soon as 2012
In My Opinion:  Look, I'm a huge football fan, and I would love to see 2 more games that could replace preseason games, but I still think this is a bad idea.  I think it will dilute the product, and make each game just a little less meaningful.  Look at what's happened to NASCAR.  The NFL has a good product.  The season is the right length.  Leave it be.


In the News:  Eli Manning suffered a gash in his head against the Jets, but he's playing this weekend against the Ravens.

In My Opinion:  No way, dude.  I wouldn't want to play the Ravens after that.  Just sayin'.


In the News:  Stan Kroenky will assume full ownership of the St Louis Rams.
In My Opinion:  I guess he met the 'non offensive' requirement the NFL has for owners.  Apparently Al Davis is grandfathered in.  No ...
