Rookies Meet Lee Roy Selmon, The Ultimate Tampa Bay Buccaneer

Hopefully, one day, one of them might become half the player he was.
Hopefully, one day, one of them might become the man he is.
The most important segment of last weekend's Tampa Bay Buccaneer rookie mini-camp was a brief encounter on Friday that included an address to these young men by a man they should want to emulate on and off the field.
The boys got to meet Lee Roy Selmon.
That's Lee Roy Selmon, Mr. Buccaneer, the elite, the best of the best. As a competitor, none were more fierce. As a man, none are more caring.
He's our Hall of Famer. He is the face of the franchise, even though it has been so many years since No. 63 was a defensive force.
Meeting Selmon is inspiring in and of itself. Hearing him speak, even moreso.
Hopefully they did listen. You know Gerald McCoy did. He understands what the Selmon name means at Oklahoma. It means even more in Tampa Bay.
