Ryan Lindley to Sign with Patriots: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

Seeking depth at quarterback, the New England Patriots will reportedly sign veteran Ryan Lindley, according to ESPN's Field Yates on Monday. 
Yates' news comes less than two hours after ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini noted the Patriots cut QB Matt Flynn. 
New England is facing the possibility of playing the regular season's first four games without starting signal-caller Tom Brady due to a suspension for his role in Deflategate.
The two-time NFL MVP is scheduled to have a settlement conference with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith in federal district court in New York City on Wednesday, per the Boston Globe's Ben Volin. 
With Brady's status uncertain, the Patriots will likely turn to second-year quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for the starting gig. But the team would need an additional quarterback if Brady remains suspended for any length of time in the regular season.
