San Diego Chargers Acquire Patrick Crayton from Dallas Cowboys

The expendable Patrick Crayton was traded to the San Diego Chargers today in exchange for a seventh-round pick. With Vincent Jackson holding out and the possibility of him playing this season remote, the Chargers jumped on the chance to grab Crayton. Jackson has recently said that if he doesn't receive an extension, he will sit out the team's first 10 games.
Dallas no longer had use for Crayton after they drafted Dez Bryant. Miles Austin broke out last year and Roy Williams has an expensive contract combined with talent that makes him much more valuable than Crayton is.
Sam Hurd is likely to remain on the team with Crayton now in a Chargers' uniform. 
The bigger question isn't how this will affect the Cowboys but how it will affect the Chargers. Right now, San Diego's top three receivers on the depth chart are as follows: Malcom Floyd, Legedu Naanee, and Buster Davis.
