San Diego Chargers Sign Two Free Agents, Offer 10 Restricted Free Agent Tenders

The San Diego Chargers signed nose tackle Ogemdi Nwagbuo and linebacker James Holt to contracts on Wednesday, and have placed tenders on ten other players including wide receiver Malcom Floyd, free safety Eric Weddle, and running back Mike Tolbert.
The Bolts placed tenders on certain restricted free agents in order to maintain negotiating rights as specified by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, which is scheduled to expire Thursday night at 11:59pm EST.
Malcom Floyd received the highest restricted free agent tender out of the ten players, with a first and third-round tender. Floyd will find himself in the same situation that Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was in at the beginning of free agency last season.
Hopefully, Floyd won't make the same mistake Jackson made. Floyd may be looking for a long-term deal from the Chargers in the long run, but will need to stay healthy.
