San Francisco 49ers Dissapoint Again: Is It Time Give Up On 2010?

The 49ers are 1-6. Yes, through seven games the once divisional favorites have just one win. The Seattle Seahawks under Pete Carroll lead the division at 4-3, and the playoffs are not really a realistic goal following a loss today.
Alex Smith went down Sunday when hope for a turnaround was still lingering because it appeared a victory may have been insight. However, due to a sprained shoulder, backup David Carr came in and was brutal. Throwing an interception that lead to the game winning field goal for Carolina, the 49er fans are taking back the "WE WANT CARR!" chants because it was evident that Alex Smith is the best option at quarterback.
It is unknown at this point how much time Smith will miss. Another potential question would be if the 49ers still believe they can compete in the NFC West this season and Smith is out do they put their faith in Carr. The only other options on the roster would be Troy Smith or Nate Davis.
