San Francisco 49ers Draft: Why They Shouldn’t Settle For Anthony Davis

According to some pundits, the 49ers are going to draft Anthony Davis OT out of Rutgers with their first round pick at 13.  I think this is a huge mistake.  There is already rumors of lack of drive and attitude issues.  Using a No. 1 pick on someone that already has these kind of questions is very risky.
Drafting winners with drive and character will serve the 49ers better than strictly pedigree or combine numbers.  The 49ers ruled football for years with an undersized offensive line because they were intelligent, talented, driven players that had character.
Think about people who have inspired you to be better, were they maximizing their potential and making the most of what they had, or were they falling short or disinterested in what they were doing?
The 49ers have a history of important players that didn't fit the physical mold of superstars, yet conquered their perceived limitations to achieve maximum performance.
