Santonio Holmes: Is He Ready to Be a Playoff Hero Again?

Santonio Holmes has been here before. The New York Jets' star wide receiver has been the primary playmaker on a Super Bowl contender before, in 2008.
Then, Holmes was a Pittsburgh Steeler, and he showed the world what he could do on the biggest possible stage: the Super Bowl. He torched the Arizona Cardinals for 131 yards and the game-winning touchdown, and was the Super Bowl MVP.
But is Holmes ready to take on the mantle of postseason playmaker again? He missed the first four games of 2010, and has struggled to find his rhythm with the Jets, posting just two 100 yard receiving days on the year.
Holmes seems to have caught Braylon Edwards' case of the drops, which has been a serious issue. Unless he's put that behind him, don't be surprised if the former Super Bowl MVP is a no-show for the Jets in the postseason.
