Santonio Holmes of Pittsburgh Steelers Denies Assault on Woman

According to a report by USA Today, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes has denied assaulting a woman at a night club in Orlando after the woman filed a lawsuit against him last Wednesday.
It was previously reported that Holmes was not commenting on the case, but he now says he is innocent and the situation will be taken care of soon.
This leads some to believe that a monetary settlement might be on the way.
The plaintiff, Anshonoe Mills, claimed in the suit that Holmes threw a glass full of liquor at her on March 7 at the Rain Night Club.
In an ESPN interview with Holmes, he said everything "will be taken care of quickly, within the next 24 hours."
He also added, "I really don't have much to say about it because I didn't do anything. My lawyer is handling it from here."
The plaintiff states that Holmes ordered her to get off a couch in the night club, but when she refused, he threw his glass full of alcohol at the woman.
