Seattle Seahawks Fall to New York Giants, Some Positives Remain

Though the Seahawks suffered an embarrassing defeat on Sunday versus the New York Giants, some details in the fabric highlighted some positive aspects of the Seattle Seahawks team.

Charlie Whitehurst had his first NFL start, and while he didn’t have a stunning game, it could have been worse. 
He was up against the best team in the NFC across the board in a sink or swim sort of situation and almost held his own. Only one of his two interceptions (a pass to Mike Williams that was easily intercepted by Corey Webster) can really be attributed to him and it was a mistake he showed growth from before the end of the game.

The Seahawks mostly second-string offensive line managed to keep Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and the rest of the Giants terrifying defensive line from crushing, or even scratching Whitehurst the entire afternoon.  

Leon Washington still tore it up on returns running for over 100 yards on just five attempts.
