St. Louis Rams Draft Picks 2010: Does It Make the Grade?

The Rams made a total of 11 picks in the 2010 draft.  
We had one choice in each of the first four rounds, two in the fifth, two in the sixth, and three in the seventh.  
Both a cursory and a deeper examination of the choices they made indicates that the Rams made a large number of strange and high-risk moves.
As I study this list I am stunned by the presence of basketball players, career backups at Alabama, guys not invited to the combine, and a guy with a draft ranking of 454th best athlete in the draft.  
The strange thing is that there were only 255 total picks in the 2010 draft.  Why select a guy with a 454 next to his name?  Can't you sign him in free agency?
