The Super Bowl is always a great chance for young players to make a name for themselves and become stars, but for some veterans, this will be their last chance at glory in the NFL.
Whether retirement is imminent or a certain player is on the downside of his career, the chances at reaching another Super Bowl will be few and far between.
Let's take a look at those veterans who fit the bill in the Super Bowl showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.
 
Ray Lewis, LB, Baltimore Ravens
Lewis has made it no secret that he plans to retire after the season is over, so this will be his last chance at a Super Bowl.
The future Hall of Famer has already been fortunate enough to taste glory as a member of the Ravens team that captured the Lombardi Trophy back in Super Bowl XXXV. That won't satisfy Lewis, especially since his team has improbably made it all the way back to the big game.
