Terrell Owens: The NFL’s Most Valuable Free Agent

For the second time in as many offseasons, future Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens, 36, is unemployed and looking for work with a NFL club. After a so-so campaign with the Buffalo Bills in 2009 that saw Owens snag a near career low 55 receptions, there has been very little Owens-related offseason buzz for the first time in years.
Even though the 2009 season saw a decline in Owens’ perennially gaudy statistics, there is very little doubt that the former San Francisco 49er, Philadelphia Eagle, Dallas Cowboy, and Buffalo Bill can contribute to a NFL club in at least a limited capacity.
Despite boasting a resume that puts to shame nearly anyone not named Jerry Rice, Owens has long been viewed as a distraction by nearly everyone around the NFL.
