The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Theme for 2010: Resilience

Pittsburgh has come into it's own share of adversity.  After a disappointing early exit of the Penguins from the NHL playoffs and the continuing fallout of Big Ben's larger libido, the 2010 season will be eerily similar to adversity felt in Baltimore (Ray Lewis' manslaughter issue in 2000) and Cincinnati (penal colony feel).
In addition, the concern of the Rooney family in upholding strong values and character have taken an obvious hit - which will likely not be accepted long term.
The Steelers were looking much better prior to Ben's issue and still look very good but recovery from a suspension of the team's key player and leader will likely undermine 2010 and possibly the next several seasons.
Terry Bradshaw put the situation in context with his carefully placed comments regarding Ben's image and presentation.  Ben needs to stop being a frat boy and needs to be what NFL quarterbacks usually are presented as - intelligent, clean, and consistent.  Ben is j...
