The Top 5 Candidates for the Cowboys Head Coaching Job

Unless the Cowboys go on a massive second half winning streak, Jason Garrett will not keep the head coaching job. The Cowboys will have a number of candidates interested in their head coaching job. Here are my picks for the Top Five candidates for the Cowboys coaching job.

1. Jon Gruden

It is clear that Gruden is itching to get back into coaching. There aren't many jobs in the NFL that are better than being the head coach of the Cowboys. Gruden would be a perfect fit because he has the fire and intensity that the Cowboys need. The team is already locked into a number of long term contracts with players like Tony Romo, Miles Austin, DeMarcus Ware and Roy Williams. Gruden works best with a veteran team. He also doesn't need total control over player personnel decisions.

2. Bill Cowher
