Tim Tebow: Chip Kelly and Eagles Can’t Afford to Gamble on Polarizing QB

Tim Tebow deserves an opportunity to compete for a starting job in the NFL, but the Philadelphia Eagles can't afford to take a chance on him.
The Chicago Bears and Eagles are both potential landing spots for Tebow, according to James Walker of ESPN.
Theoretically, it makes sense because Tebow would seemingly be a good fit in Kelly's Spread offense, but there are still too many variables.
Kelly was an out-of-the-box hire, but this is still the NFL and many doubt Tebow's ability to make the throws necessary to succeed, even in the Spread.
Because of that, bringing Tebow in and allowing him to compete—and possibly win the starting job—is a huge gamble.
What if he actually wins the gig in training camp or the preseason?
Nick Foles would seemingly be the logical choice to start, but he may or may not excel in Kelly's Spread offense. Kelly's system is a little different than the version of the Spread Foles ran at Arizona with Seth Littrell.
