Tim Tebow: Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos Need To Free Rookie in Week 2

Tim Tebow's stat line from week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars: two carries for two yards.  Those two runs out of Denver's "Wild Horse" formation were thoroughly uninspired and had no influence on the outcome of the game.  They were token calls from Josh McDaniels.  Denver traded up in the this past summer's draft to select the former Gators quarterback in the first round and McDaniels was under a lot of pressure to get him on the field during the first game.
The first two plays of Tebow's career were safe choices intended to relieve some of that pressure McDaniels was feeling.  But the NFL is not a league where it typically pays to play it safe.  Tebow is an asset who can help Denver win in a variety of ways.  Simply snapping the ball to him and having him try to run it up the gut may be safe but it is not going to get the job done.
McDaniels needs to make it clear that the offense will still have options when Tebow is in the game.  If ...
