Tim Tebow’s NFL Career Is Done After Preseason Struggles

It was an ugly preseason for Tim Tebow, and now that he's been cut by the New England Patriots, his NFL career is likely over.
The Tim Tebow saga has gone on for so long now that almost everyone has voiced their own opinion supporting or criticizing him as a player. Many fans are tired of all of the talk. For those fans, they will likely be relieved now that Tebow has been cut from the Patriots.
It was inevitable, really. He did not have a good preseason. Even looking past the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers—when he finished 1-of-7 for minus-one yards with an interception to boot—it was just an ugly preseason overall for the former Heisman winner. He constantly missed throws and hesitated when he saw open receivers.
Even in his best game against the New York Giants, Tebow was only able to complete 54.5 percent of his passes. What's worse, he held onto the ball too long and was hit numerous times.
