Trent Richardson out vs. Patriots for Personal Reasons: Latest Details, Reaction

When the Indianapolis Colts take the field against the New England Patriots in Sunday's AFC Championship Game, they will do so without running back Trent Richardson.  
According to Zak Keefer of The Indianapolis Star, Richardson's absence is due to personal reasons and not injury related:
Even though the nature of Richardson's absence is going to raise some questions, the former first-round pick's presence may not have changed anything about Indianapolis' game plan for this week.
Ben Volin of The Boston Globe noted that Daniel Herron has been playing an overwhelming majority of snaps for the Colts:
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano made Richardson a healthy scratch last week against Denver, telling reporters that they wanted an extra body on special teams, via Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star:
