Tyler Eifert Says He Will Never Play in Pro Bowl Again

The NFL Pro Bowl has long been among the most maligned exhibitions in sports, and Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert confirmed that Friday by insisting that he will never again play in pro football's version of an All-Star game.
Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com was the first to report Eifert's pledge, and he also relayed the following comment from the former Notre Dame standout regarding the notion of participating in the Pro Bowl: "It's just not worth it."
Eifert was named to his first Pro Bowl last season, as he set career highs with 52 receptions for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns in 13 games.
The 2013 first-round pick made one reception for 11 yards in the game, which was later roundly criticized due to a lack of contact and effort, which caused the contest to hardly resemble a game of football.
