Vikings vs. Titans Preseason Week 1: 6 Things We Learned

As I stated in the introduction, one needs to be careful in taking too much away from the first preseason game of the season. Especially this year with the compressed time line between training camp and the opening of the season.

With no OTA's or mini camps NFL teams are going to have to make some tough decisions with less data than in years past.  For teams like the Minnesota Vikings (0-1) and the Tennessee Titans (1-0), with new coaching staffs the task becomes even more difficult as they look to implement new offensive and defensive game plans.

Here are six things that we learned from the first preseason game:

No. 1: Jake Locker is going to be a good quarterback.

Locker did an excellent job directing the Titans offense to their only two scores of the game. Starting the Titans second drive of the game he directed the offense to the Minnesota 20 yard line. A missed field goal kept the game tied 0-0.
