Report: Giants Working Out Welker on Tuesday Tuesday, Sept. 29 Despite the New York Giants' considerable depth at wide receiver, they showed a willingness Tuesday to see if Welker has anything left in the tank.
According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the G-Men worked out Welker as well as former Big Blue wideout Hakeem Nicks.
The 34-year-old Welker was one of the NFL's best pass-catchers with the New England Patriots from 2007-2012, as he averaged 112 catches per season and was twice named an All-Pro. 
He joined the Denver Broncos in 2013 and put up solid totals of 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he fell off significantly in 2014 to the tune of 49 grabs for 464 yards and two scores, which were his worst numbers since 2006.
