When Brett Favre Is Long Gone, Could a 49ers-Packers Rivalry Emerge?

The Minnesota Vikings won't be easy even without Brett Favre. But they certainly won't be the favorites for the NFC North division anymore.
Assuming that the Vikings don't get another franchise quarterback after Favre, and that the Bears will never make anything out of Jay Cutler, the Packers could face another big-time rival from the land (California) that Aaron Rodgers grew up in.
Another 49ers-Packers rivalry could be brewing in the works as we speak.
The 49ers are favorites to win their division next season, and possibly for many years to come.
The Packers will be in the thick of what has arguably become the toughest division in football. But they are still the favorites to win the division.
Both teams have some eerily similar events taking place within their organization.
They both having growing young talent, they both had offensive line woes that they addressed in the draft, and they both have new franchise quarterbacks leading their teams.
