True inspiration is what the 2009 New Orleans Saints have been to the city of New Orleans.
I was one of the many people who lost everything from Hurricane Katrina. I had a life that was changed overnight. The devastation of Katrina would have been too much for any other city to handle but not New Orleans and not the Saints. Hurricane Katrina brought this city closer together and connected us even closer to our football team. With the addition of Drew Brees and Sean Payton, the Saints, one year following Katrina, were in the NFC Championship!
Sean Payton gave the city a taste of the magic in 2006 with a trip to Chicago for the NFC championship game, we lost, but all the Who Dat nation rose from our seats for the first time since Hurricane Katrina and gave us hope.
Then there was 2009, a season to forever remember! The 2009 Saints are full of players that nobody else wanted. From late round and undrafted players such as Jamar Nesbit, Jabari Greer, Marques Colston, Scott Fu...
