In what is probably the most important game between these two franchises since the Patriots 37-16 home playoff win three years ago, the New York Jets will find out just how good they are as a pair of 9-2 teams square off to determine the No. 1 seed in the AFC as well as the divisional crown.
For the winner will be in the driver's seat for the division as well as a bye with a 10-2 record with just four games to play.
A New York victory will all but ice the divisional crown while a Patriot win will give them a one game lead with four to play.
But for the New York Jets, it is only necessary and appropriate that any talk of a real playoff run must go through the New England Patriots.
